14th European SEEG Course

What is the SEEG Course?

The SEEG course is a unique Franco-Italian initiative that has enjoyed great success since 2010. The course’s success has led to replicating the European initiative (Lyon then Venice) in North America in 2012 (Montreal then Miami) and in Asia since 2017 (Singapore), with the same enthusiasm from participants.

How does it work?

After reviewing the data (clinical, video-EEG, MRI, PET), each group makes decisions on conducting and designing an optimal SEEG investigation. They then analyze and interpret the SEEG results and plan the surgical decision. Each group’s conclusions are discussed in detail during always very lively plenary sessions. This teaching is complemented by more formal lectures including epileptology, neuroscience, and functional anatomy around a theme chosen for each course.

The 14th SEEG Course will be held in Venice, Italy from February 24 to 27, 2026.
